Thank you for your vulnerability, and honesty. I needed this reminder today. I too have had too many burnout moments when the universe has stopped me in my tracks with a major illness that made me have to stop the madness. Setting daily self care rituals has helped me and boundaries too. But also realizing that my work doesn’t define my worth. Keeping writing Darcy we need to hear your wisdom. 💕

This is the most validating refreshing TRUTH I've read in a long time. Unfortunately, for those who don't live in their truth - us doing our thing and (gasp*) being unapologetic about it, is threatening and puts them on the defensive. I'm choosing me, my family, and my next tribe very carefully. That said, my battle with feeling secure and supporting my family is the devil on my shoulder, especially when a toxic high paying job comes knocking. I too jumped roles to "feel" better in the past. Already learning that I'm now past the point of no return. Simple goals with boundaries and time for my family = yes please. Staying an aware work in progress.

Darcy, this is well written - I can totally relate to the burnout and overworked. I am learning to set new boundaries. It's difficult, a journey but thank you for the encouragement.

The first part of setting a boundary is acknowledging and honoring your needs. This can be hard! We’ve been conditioned to ignore our own needs, and when our mind is disconnected from our body we often can’t even hear the signals. Keep tuning in to your body. Hope to see you at the studio one of these days 🤍
